Fights On! Volume 39: Summer 2020
In an effort to help scientists combat the Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) and other diseases, researchers participate in a distributed computing project called Folding@home. Scientists from the division menor interns from three different internship programs. AFRL in collaboration with the United States Air Force Academy provides Air Force cadets the opportunity to gain real-world experience through summer internships.

The Warfighter Readiness Research Division reflects on its 50-year history, while looking ahead to a new division. Cognitive scientists examine the limitations of AMC’s fatigue risk management tool in their broad Aviation Operational Risk Management (AvORM) program. Researchers successfully completed the first, prescriptive field study investigating the effectiveness and efficiency of personally tailored cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) refresher training schedules determined by the patented Predictive Performance Optimizer (PPO) technology. The GRILL participates in the DoD’s Hack-a-Vent Innovation Challenge.

In this version of the division-wide, I/ITSEC edition of Fight’s ON! the division supports our nation’s warfighters by creating and validating training research methods, models and technologies for learning and readiness across Air Force missions.
Fights On! Volume 35: Summer 2019
The Wright Scholars summer program is hosted at the new location of the Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory (GRILL). United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) cadets, along with a University of South Florida professor, work with the GRILL on training research. RHA collaborates with academic partners at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) by establishing a new operating location on the CMU main campus.
