Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Industry Day – 2025

On Thursday, 16 January 2025, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Sensors Directorate, Spectrum Warfare Division (RYW) will host an Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare (EMS) Warfare Industry Day. The event will be held at the SECRET level.

The RYW EMS Warfare Team invites current and potential industry partners to an interactive Industry Day. The event will include:

  • Briefings from RYW leadership, Senior Technologist, Tech Area Lead, Program Managers, Lab Leads and more on current efforts and the EMS Warfare roadmap
  • Critical information on EW trends including strategic guidance, technical challenges, and organizational developments
  • Facilities briefings and updates (IDAL, DIME, ITWL, VCL, RCA, etc.)
  • Q&A session

RYW aims to foster collaboration and mutual understanding between the Government and industry partners. By enhancing transparency and communication, the Government can continue to provide more opportunities for future innovations to all interested partners, and ultimately, the warfighter. The goal is to make EMS Warfare Industry Day an annual event, where RYW delivers open, cyclical, communication and feedback that articulates the direction of EMS Warfare R&D.

Event Details & Registration:

  • Date: 16 Jan 2025
  • Time: 1200 – 1600 EST.
  • Location: RY Auditorium 2241 Avionics Cir, Bldg. 600 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433
  • Attendance: Maximum of 3 personnel per company. A secret clearance is required for all attendees.
  • Schedule: To be provided to confirmed attendees prior to event.
  • Registration: Pre-registration is required for this event. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to attend. To register, please email RSVP to AFRL.RYW.EMSIndustryDay@us.af.mil by 06 January 2025. RSVPs will only be accepted via email. For each participant, please include the following information in your RSVP email:
    • Name of Company
    • Full legal name(s) of proposed attendee
    • Driver’s License number AND state of issuance (if you have base access, this information is not necessary. However, if you require support to gain access to the base, this information is REQUIRED)
    • Email
    • Telephone number

Please note that seating is limited for this event, and as a result, registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. RYW encourages registration early to secure your company’s attendance, as once capacity is reached, the Government will be unable to accommodate additional attendees. Registration will be processed in the order in which they are received, and RYW will notify you promptly if your registration is successful or if the event has reached maximum capacity.

Pre-Event Questionnaire: RYW is seeking input from industry to ensure the content and format of the Industry Day briefings are tailored to meet industry needs and facilitate productive discussions. The Government kindly requests responses to the following questions:

  • What specific topics would be most beneficial for your company to discuss at Industry Day?
  • Are there any general issues, unrelated to a particular acquisition, concerning proposal submission or the acquisition process as a whole that your company would like the Government to address?
  • Would your company find it valuable for our RY leadership to address common issues or misconceptions related to working with the United States Government?
  • Any issues/concerns with accessing our facilities/ having this briefing at the classified level?

The completion of the questionnaire is optional and not a prerequisite to attend the EMS Warfare Industry Day. Please submit your company’s questionnaire responses to AFRL.RYW.EMSIndustryDay@us.af.mil by 06 January 2025.
