Autonomy Technology Research (ATR) Center Summer Program

The Autonomy Technology Research (ATR) Center is AFRL Sensors Directorate summer internship program, but can extend research projects into the school year. The Sensors Directorate focuses on affordable sensor and countermeasure technologies for reconnaissance, surveillance, precision engagement and electronic warfare systems. The ATR Center program is a collaborative research experience to answer Air Force sensing and autonomy technologies, sensor processing and exploitation, object detection, tracking and recognition, navigation, geolocation, malware detection and defense issues. A major point of emphasis is the use of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to solve these key technical challenges.

Deadline to apply

– Mid November – Mid April (rolling acceptance)

Criteria

– US Citizen

– Students with strong academic records that are enrolled in (or are soon to be enrolled into) a university's undergraduate or graduate degree program in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or a related fields are encouraged to apply.
