RI INTERNS

RI SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

AFRL/RI Internships are paid summer opportunities for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university at the freshman level through PhD level to work on-site with AFRL researchers. AFRL/RI partners with the Griffiss Institute to help execute the RI Internship Program. Typical majors are Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, and Physics. Travel and housing assistance are available for those traveling further than 50 miles. Internships start on the first Monday of June and are 10 weeks in length.

Students will work on a wide variety of research projects that best match their skills and desires such as: Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Neuromorphic Computing, Trusted Software, Quantum Information Sciences, and much more. Deadline to apply

– Opens in the Fall. Priority deadline is 31 January. Final deadline to apply is 15 March.

Criteria

– At least 16 years of age

– S. Citizen

– Must be enrolled in an accredited academic institution

– Minimum GPA of 2.95

– At least one semester left in degree program
