The AFRL STEM Student Employment Program (SSEP) provides internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM fields with DoD Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories (STRLs).

Students may be appointed to a temporary or a flexible length term appointment. The student's work schedule can be full-time or part-time at various AFRL locations.

The AFRL Professional, Administrative, Assistant, Clerical and Technician Student Employment Program (PAACTSEP) provides internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in Non-S&E (Science and Engineer) fields. This is a developmental opportunity to gain valuable real-world work experience with AFRL. Hiring directly into Lab Demo using a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) for Department of Defense’s Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories (STRLs).

This student authority allows for the noncompetitive conversion to competitive service. Students may be appointed to a temporary or a flexible length term appointment. The student’s work schedule can be full-time or part-time at various AFRL locations.

– Must be currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution leading to a bachelors or advanced degree (May be a 2-year college designed specifically to transfer to a 4-year institution)

– 2.95 GPA or higher
